Big Pharma Made $711 Billion Overcharging Medicare Patients
Medicare CANNOT negotiate prices with Big Pharma. They have to pay out whatever Big pharma chooses to charge. How nice for them… Oh, by the way, the US pays 40-300% more than other countries do for the same exact product. Seems a little off to me. Drug companies also spend 19 times more on marketing than they do on research and development. Because once the drug is sold, and they make their hundreds of billions of dollars, ten years down the line if something goes wrong, it is no sweat to pay out a few lawsuits. So why waste money on making sure the product is safe?
